I arrived home earlier than usual and immediately noticed something strange. Our babysitter was walking out of the bathroom with wet hair wrapped in a towel. She looked startled before explaining that my youngest child had accidentally spilled milk on her clothes while the children were sleeping. She said she had taken a quick shower to clean herself up. Before I could respond, my husband appeared in the kitchen, preparing food. The problem? He was supposed to be working his night shift. When I questioned him, he calmly defended the babysitter and insisted everything was innocent.

I desperately wanted to believe their explanations, but something didn’t feel right. After barely sleeping, I made a decision the following morning. I found an old nanny camera we had used when our children were babies and placed it in the living room before leaving for work. I had no idea that checking its footage would reveal something that would completely change how I understood my marriage.
