Patricia introduced herself and demanded that everyone leave immediately. Mom insisted the property belonged to me and claimed Brian had permission to move in. Patricia calmly produced her purchase documents. “I bought this property legally. Your daughter sold it months ago.” Brian suddenly dropped his suitcase. Megan stopped smiling. I stepped out of the car, and Mom stared at me as though I’d betrayed her. “You sold the house without telling us?” she screamed. I answered quietly, “Why would I tell people who planned to take something that wasn’t theirs?”
Patricia explained that she’d purchased the house through a legitimate sale and had no intention of allowing strangers to occupy it. Mom continued arguing, insisting that family members had rights that paperwork couldn’t erase. Daniel stepped beside me and showed Patricia the messages I’d previously sent warning my relatives not to enter. Brian suddenly claimed he had another agreement proving he could stay. Patricia examined the paper and frowned. When she noticed the signature at the bottom, she immediately called her solicitor.
