A Birthday Gift Gone Wrong

On my birthday, my husband gave me a shower gel.

Since we had no financial difficulties, I felt deeply hurt, though I didn’t let it show.

I had always supported his business and ensured we had enough money for him to at least buy me a bouquet of flowers.

When I looked closely at the gel, I realized it had a scent I absolutely disliked, something he was well aware of. Eventually, I couldn’t hold back my emotions—I broke down in tears and flushed the gel down the toilet.
