I returned to the darkest section near the rocky edge and began tracing the outlines with my eyes. Instead of asking what each shape represented, I imagined how the curves might combine to create something completely different. This approach made the search much more interesting.
One particular section seemed to contain the shape of a head, while another appeared to resemble a small body. I still couldn’t identify the complete chicken, but I was finally beginning to understand how the artist had concealed it. The answer was closer than I had imagined.
