After several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to step away from the screen. When I returned, I avoided looking directly at the two men and concentrated entirely on the edges of the cave. Surprisingly, the illustration seemed different. Some shadows appeared to connect in ways I hadn’t noticed before.
I also tried looking at the picture from a little farther away. This helped me notice larger patterns instead of focusing on individual lines. I began to understand why the chicken was so difficult to spot. The artist had cleverly used the natural shapes of the cave to disguise something familiar.
