I decided to divide the picture into smaller sections instead of examining everything at once. I started with the two men, then moved toward the rocky entrance and finally studied the darker outlines around the cave. That was when I noticed several unusual curves that didn’t seem to belong to the natural rock formations.
At first, I dismissed them as ordinary artistic details. But after looking again, I realized that some of those lines might form part of an animal’s outline. The challenge was figuring out which details belonged together without being distracted by the larger objects.
