The airport security officer entered the aircraft and immediately requested Elizabeth’s assistance. He explained that Flight 212 had received an emergency operational hold. Richard looked irritated, demanding to know why an entire flight was being delayed over a simple seating disagreement. Nobody answered his question.
Then the officer opened the red folder and requested Richard Bennett’s identification. Richard reluctantly handed it over. Elizabeth watched nervously as the officer examined a document bearing Richard’s company name. Zara stood quietly nearby, still connected to her father. Suddenly, the officer announced that the situation involved something much more serious than a disputed First-Class seat.
