Elliot looked directly at Claire and asked whether she was married to Greg Whitman. When she confirmed it, his expression changed. He explained that he knew Greg personally and had been hoping to meet her. Claire immediately demanded answers. Why would a stranger aboard a cruise ship know so much about her marriage?
Elliot hesitated before explaining that Greg had been keeping an enormous secret. He reached into his pocket and pulled out something that made Claire’s heart race. She stared at him, barely breathing. Then Elliot quietly told her that her husband’s divorce decision had nothing to do with falling out of love.
