A Second Wife Has No Claim to a Car That Was Dad’s

Priya ended the call with a thoughtful expression before placing another document on the conference table. The buyer had confirmed every detail. Neither Kayla nor Dylan had ever possessed the authority to sell the restored car.

Barbara quietly signed the required paperwork without looking toward either stepchild. Just as everyone prepared to leave, Priya opened a thin envelope delivered by overnight courier. “There’s something else,” she said. “Ray left instructions about the Corvette that no one has seen until today.”
