Aaron demanded to know whether Michael had been visiting our house when he wasn’t home. I reminded him that Michael had helped because Aaron himself had asked him to support our family during my difficult pregnancy. But Aaron refused to listen. He insisted that the birthmark was proof of an affair. I begged him to request a paternity test, promising that the results would settle everything. Instead, he accused me of humiliating him. Then he announced that I should take our newborn and stay with my sister Diana.
Three days later, I arrived at Diana’s house with five children and a broken heart. Aaron refused my calls and sent only a message saying his attorney would contact me. Diana listened as I explained everything, then gently took my phone away. “You have just given birth, Elena. You don’t need to beg someone to believe you,” she said. I decided to arrange the DNA test myself. Meanwhile, Michael kept calling, confused about why Aaron had suddenly blocked him. I hadn’t yet told him what had happened. I was afraid of what his reaction might reveal.
