Fifteen years ago, Elena walked away from her husband and six young daughters, including a nine-month-old baby. She believed a wealthier life with her boss, Julian, would finally give her the future she wanted. Their father stayed behind. He worked exhausting double shifts, cooked meals, attended school events, paid the bills, and answered painful questions about why their mother was gone. He never stopped showing up, even when carrying the truth alone nearly broke him.

Years later, Elena suddenly announced that she wanted to attend Chloe’s wedding. Chloe agreed, hoping the occasion might bring peace, but she refused to let her mother rewrite their childhood. The reception seemed peaceful until Elena stood before the guests and accused her former husband of deliberately keeping the daughters away from her. Chloe slowly stood up, reached beneath her chair, and placed a folder on the table. Then she opened it, and the first document inside made the entire room fall silent.
