My Neighbor Kept Stealing Gas From My Pickup Because I Was Retired, So I Finally Taught Him a Lesson

At seventy, Frank lived alone after losing Ellen, his wife and closest companion. Her memory remained tied to their beloved 1994 Ford pickup, one of the few things he still treasured. But recently, gasoline kept disappearing from the tank even though he barely drove. At first, Frank worried that age was making him forgetful. A mechanic inspected the truck and found no leak. Someone was taking his gas. Frank felt uneasy, but he had no proof. His granddaughter Katie suggested installing a driveway camera. Frank followed her instructions, hoping the footage would finally explain what was happening.

 

 

For several nights, nothing unusual appeared. Then, one morning, Frank reviewed the recordings and froze. The video showed someone approaching his truck after dark, opening the fuel door, and quietly siphoning gasoline. The stranger replaced the cap carefully before walking away. Frank watched the footage again, recognizing the person immediately. It was Clark, his neighbor, a man who was financially comfortable and had borrowed Frank’s tools many times. Frank stared at the screen, struggling to believe that Clark was stealing from him.
