At 72, I’m Getting Married Again—and My Daughter Thought I Was Wasting Money on a Wedding Dress

I never imagined that at seventy-two, I would be planning another wedding. Yet there I was, comparing flowers, choosing invitations, and standing before a mirror in a white dress for the third time. I wasn’t trying to look young or erase the years behind me. I simply wanted to celebrate because, after everything life had given and taken away, I was genuinely happy. Then, decades later, someone entered my life who made me laugh again—and when he proposed, I realized I had one more chance to choose how my story would continue.
