A man smells a strong smell in his house, when he finds out that he opens the wall he finds!

It began with a smell—faint, sour, and fleeting—drifting through Tom Fisher’s hallway like a whisper. At first, the forty-two-year-old homeowner blamed forgotten food, a spill, or something rotting in the trash. He scrubbed the kitchen, emptied every bin, aired out the house, and went to bed believing the problem was solved. By morning, the smell had returned. Over the following days, it became stronger and fouler, reminding him of rotten meat mixed with damp mildew.

 

 

Tom checked the refrigerator, garbage disposal, crawl space, and every corner he could reach. An exterminator found no pests but admitted the odor resembled decomposing flesh. Soon the smell began creeping into his living room, clinging to his clothes and following him into bed. One evening, desperate to find its source, Tom traced it to an air vent near the baseboard. He pried the cover loose, and a wave of foul air rushed out. Behind the vent, something dark was tangled in the decaying insulation—and then it moved.
