Daniel had lived in the old house for years, yet one small detail had always bothered him. In the living room, one electrical outlet was installed upside down while nearly every other receptacle faced the opposite direction. He had always assumed someone had simply made a mistake during installation. It seemed too insignificant to investigate, especially because the outlet worked normally. One evening, while rearranging furniture, Daniel noticed the unusual orientation again and wondered whether there might be a reason behind it. He remembered that an electrician had once mentioned older houses sometimes contained wiring arrangements that were not immediately obvious.
