Apple Cider Vinegar Foot Soak: I Tried It for 15 Minutes and Here’s the Result

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a natural choice for foot care, known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties. It can help reduce odor, ease mild skin irritation, and smooth rough areas. A basic soak involves mixing one part vinegar with two parts warm water and immersing the feet for about 10 to 15 minutes. The process gently cleanses and refreshes the skin while restoring balance.

Unlike Epsom salt or baking soda soaks, ACV adds antimicrobial benefits that support hygiene and help manage minor skin issues. However, it should be used cautiously on sensitive or broken skin, as its acidity can cause irritation. Limiting use to once or twice weekly helps prevent dryness and discomfort.

Although not a medical treatment, an ACV foot soak is an effective, low-cost addition to self-care. It helps soothe tired feet, reduce odor, and promote a feeling of cleanliness. Used properly, it offers a refreshing and natural way to maintain foot health.
