The lines on your bath towels aren’t just decorative—they indicate weave, absorbency, and durability.

When Emma bought a set of white bath towels for her new apartment, she noticed something unusual about their edges. Each towel had the same narrow dobby border, but one contained a tiny pattern that looked different from the others. At first, she assumed it was simply part of the design. She ran her fingers across the woven lines and noticed three small diamonds followed by a short break in the pattern. Curiosity made her compare the towels. The same sequence appeared on every towel, always in exactly the same place. Emma searched online and learned that dobby borders were normally designed to reinforce edges and create attractive patterns. Yet the strange sequence seemed too deliberate to be accidental.

 

 

That night, while folding the towels, Emma noticed something that made her stop. When the patterned borders were placed side by side, the lines formed a message.
