Nora Hartwell arrived at her son Lucas’s graduation expecting to sit in the second row, exactly where he had asked her to be. Instead, a young usher nervously told her that the reserved seats had been reassigned. When Nora looked toward Row B, she saw Bianca, her ex-husband Preston’s new wife, sitting in her place wearing a striking cobalt-blue dress. One of Nora’s official seat cards had been torn in half.
