This woman spent years living on the street, surviving day by day, collecting empty bottles

For years, Rita lived a life most people walked past without noticing. She survived by collecting bottles for small amounts of money, spending each day focused only on getting through the next one. Once, she had dreamed of stability and belonging, but after losing her only son, grief consumed the future she imagined. Without support, her pain turned into isolation, and isolation eventually led her to life on the streets.

Over time, Rita became invisible to the world around her. People judged her by her worn appearance rather than her story. Although she wanted to work and rebuild her life, the barriers created by poverty and homelessness seemed impossible to overcome. Then she met Shafag Novruz, a makeup artist who looked beyond the surface and saw the person behind years of hardship.
