He was only 35 when cancer took him, but those who knew Luke remember far more than how his story ended. To his family, he was a warrior and a hero. To thousands of strangers, he was a steady, honest voice who faced the unthinkable with grit and grace.<\/p>\n

Luke died at home on August 2, surrounded by loved ones. In his final days, he was still doing what he had from the beginning\u2014meeting fear with humor, telling his truth, and making the most of the time he had. Just weeks earlier, he\u2019d joked to followers that he was still \u201calive and kicking,\u201d a line that drew smiles through tears.<\/p>\n

Luke first learned in August 2022 that he had stage-four leiomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that makes up only about 0.17 percent of diagnoses each year. Doctors gave him a year. Luke chose to fight.<\/p>\n

He endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy, each one a new climb. Even after being told last October that only months remained, he pushed forward\u2014one day, one joke, one update at a time.<\/p>\n

Through his YouTube channel,\u00a0I Will Not Be Defeated<\/em>, Luke invited the world into his battle. He shared the messy parts and the small wins, the dark nights and bright mornings. His refusal to let the disease define him made him a source of strength for many.<\/p>\n

In Grimsby, he was known as a good man. Beyond Grimsby, he became a beacon\u2014someone whose openness inspired and encouraged countless others.<\/p>\n

Luke leaves behind his wife, Beckey; his mother, Lisa; his father, Brian; his adored daughters, including three-year-old Scarlett; and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry his memory forward.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t get the years he deserved, but he made the ones he had matter\u2014loving fiercely, laughing often, and keeping his promise: he was not defeated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
