Trevor tried to explain himself, but every excuse sounded weaker than the evidence in front of him. Finally, he shrugged and claimed Mason was old enough to manage on his own. He accused me of exaggerating, insisting that I had always made ordinary situations seem worse than they were.<\/p>\n
