They returned three days early. Mauro, his mother Patricia, and his sister Jamie walked through my front door carrying expensive luggage and the same entitlement they had shown for years. But this time, I was ready for them. I sat calmly with a cup of tea while my attorney Veronica, a notary, and my forensic accountant waited nearby. They had spent weeks tracing money that disappeared from my company and eventually led back to Mauro. He had stolen my platinum card while I was in a board meeting and charged more than $300,000 on flights, resorts, shopping, and other luxuries for his family.
