So is Wesley\u2019s about women not equipped to handle them. So is every word Delphine whispered about the locked guest house and the taken phone. The nurse had already preserved the chart. The intake photographs of my daughter\u2019s arms did the rest.<\/p>\n
Preston was charged that night. Unlawful restraint, assault. Rosalind and Wesley followed within the week, because the task force had been waiting for exactly one victim brave enough to stay in the room, and my daughter, trembling in a torn dress, turned out to be that person. The reconciliation lunch had been a trap to frighten her out of leaving. It became the thing that ended them.<\/p>\n
